Permanent exhibition The Old Synagogue in Erfurt is the oldest completely preserved synagoge in central Europe. The history of its construction, the Erfurt treasure – buried in the face of the pogrom of 1349 – as well as facsimile of old Hebrew manuscripts illustrate the history of the jewish community in medieval Erfurt.
